College is going to be a great experience. Attending college will help me better my lifestyle and career. Standing in the courtroom, articulately my words to help defend my client, helping a child with family issues, brainstorming and developing ideas to build a mechanism to help solve world issues. College will aid me in the right direction to becoming a successful women. Through the attendance of college, there are activities and opportunities that grant eye openers, surprises, experience and hard work. Some activities that give people great opportunities are student council, study abroad, internships, athletics, and student clubs.
The benefits of joining student council will help advance personal developing skills such as building confidence, public speaking, standing up and speaking for what's right. Student council is where a group of students want to represent the entire student body. When participating in student council opportunities granted are leadership, exposure to the school and it's policies.
Study abroad helps gain a different cultural experience. Propaganda and advertising convinces people's perception of different countries. Africa gets seen on television as the country that carries diseases like malaria or Ebola, aids, and has severely sick children. If you travel to Africa to get your own experience of Africa and what it looks like you will see that in reality Africa is a beautiful place and has many riches. There are healthy people over there; everyplace consists of sicknesses, so they are not the only country with diseases.
Internships are structured where you are in the work environment of the career that you want to pursue. In addition to gaining great experience in the class room learning, college internships allow you to build up your resume making jobs more attracted to you and grant you with your ideal job before graduation. Meeting new people and networking can assist with scholarships.
Student clubs and athletics can give you the opportunity to also communicate with people from different demographics but additionally athletics represent their school, play against other college teams and possibly receive funding for scholarships. The opportunities that you can inherit are being more healthier, teamwork, competitiveness and traveling. Student clubs are outlets where you can speak and inform others about any topic. Some student clubs require togetherness or doing something on their own. But student clubs offer scholarships, exposure, diversity, or networking.
Opportunities can be given yet earned all throughout college. College provides the chance to travel, meet new people, and explore more cultures. Seeing the opportunities that college will provide me with will benefit my uprising lifestyle. To network and socialize with people who are from somewhere across the world. To step away from my home, Washington DC and become one with another state to experience a different state and their laws. Being tempted because of the many colleges/universities there are in the world and what they offer can also be a challenge. When attending college new chances and opportunities will most of the time be a one time matter.
Opportunities was chosen to describe my attendance in a college/university to make more money that someone with a high school degree, gain independence, and figuring out who I am.
