When the word college is mentioned there are numerous ideas and concepts that reminded me the lecture learned in class. The place where I was able to imagine things and think critically. There are infinitely possible words to describe anything in general. However, when referring to college there is one specific word that I believe can describes college properly, success. College is able to unlock a number of doors for my future life. College allows me able to gain knowledge and able to find an average job to be able to maintain myself.
The word I chose to describe why I wished to attend college was success. The reason why I chose the word success was because I would like to gain more knowledge. As a person in general I believe knowledge helps an individual to understand the way of life and how certain things work. For example, if I was not educated I would not be aware that science exist in life. I would like to become a pharmacist. I want to make a difference in my community by helping those that are in need of assistance. I chose to pursue a degree in pharmacy is because I want to be a respected member of my community. I also wanted to understand the way a medication reacts with the human body. After I graduate as a pharmacist, I will make a difference in the community by teaching patients how to stay healthy, encouraging patients to get the required vaccines, and encouraging them to take the necessary dosage of medicine as per request by their physicians. As a pharmacist I want to monitor elderly patients, specifically those that require scheduled maintenance medication and help them stay on track for their medication. As a health professional, it takes a lot of commitment and responsibilities in order to be become a successful trustworthy pharmacist. Being able to see a patient who’s thankful for the help that has gotten them through their journey, would make me feel accomplished. It is my pleasure to help people in need, and it would also be my honor. This is a job that I would really enjoy.
Knowledge is very important because the ideas and information that I learned in class allowed me to grow and develop myself as a human being. Knowledge is powerful and crucial I have the ability to make decisions voluntarily to benefit myself. For example, individually I am able to judge on what is healthy for ourselves to consume. I am also able to make decisions and decide on my future career in regards to my interests and which career will be able to sustain my budget. Education advances me to be more capable in life and to be able to use my brain to make decisions. Knowledge allowed me to be more aware of the problems that develops in life as I grow up. I am able to know the morality of life to live a successful life. Compared to people who does not have an college education it is an advantage to have more knowledge because I know more information than those people. This also means it will be easier on myself because I don’t have to rely on other people for information. College allows me to gain knowledge of the surrounding world. College is a important building block that allowed me to developed different opinions and points of view in life.
Going to college allows me to find a job that is able to maintain myself. A college graduate is able to have more choices on what job they are interested in. As an human being I would need at least some income to be able to pay for my basic needs. For example, I need money to pay for an roof over my head. I need money to pay for utilities. Education challenged my brain to think, ask questions, and explore new ideas. College allows me to grow and develop. It is important to have an average job to able to maintain myself because life will be very difficult by not being able to afford important necessities.
College is filled with endless amount of learning and can open many doors for a college graduate with a successful life. After college there are endless opportunities waiting for me to achieve. Going to college doesn’t only benefit me to get a better job, but also easier on myself because I have more knowledge than others. College allows me to think critically and apply the information learned to real life. College allowed to exchange ideas with others and have an idea on what others think. Attending college allows me to choose from more options and career paths I can potentially take.
