Alabama by Lindsey - February 2016 Scholarship Essay
If I had the ability to host a dinner with any historical figure, I would choose Albert Einstein because he has taught the world that it doesn't take a school to make you a genius, just your personal strive and dedication to expand your education. He applied himself at an early age, and shortly passed the world in intelligence due to his effort in maths and sciences. We can thank him not only for several ground breaking discoveries, but for being different in the eyes of society. This man didn't care about the way he looked or how other people would react to his appearance, something today's generation could learn from, because he knew what he had to offer to the world. Looking back through the history books, Einstein certainly left a refreshing impact on the world during the 20th Century.I'm sure our dinner together would be filled with several fascinating topics.
Of the conversations I would love to hold with Einstein, a discussion of his early life is at the top of my list. I would ask him if the grades he made in school bothered him, since I know when I fail a test I always find myself upset. I'd also ask him for advice on how he dealt with people in his life when they'd look at him and only see failure, especially since he was conscious about his aptitude. Mental toughness is a characteristic I need to grow into, and Albert Einstein is the epiphany of confidence.
Of all the geniuses to have a dinner with, I choose the brilliant and bold Albert Einstein.
