My Strategy for Project Success by Lillyanne - December 2017 Scholarship Essay
For me, my best strategy to school project success is taking one step at a time with full acknowledgement of all questions and details. This one strategy can make all the difference when succeeding or failing on a school project. When using this strategy, I am able to check for missing details, review my project, and fully answer the question of whether or not I am correctly completing a school project.
Read through my work and details of the project helps me check my work before going to the next step in the project. Many times before I have checked through my work, but I might overlook a problem that could give me a C instead of a A. Also, reading through my work helps me look over any missing details that could be vital to any school project I might do. If I don't complete this step in my strategy, I would possibly be skipping over many small, yet vital details that could give me a failing grade instead of a passing grade. However this one step in my strategy is not the only important part I must follow.
Reviewing my report is also an important part to my strategy. It helps me review any mistakes that I left out of my project when doing a final edit. Even though I look over all my school projects more than three times, I feel looking over it one more time will help me find any overlooked details or questions that might have a great significance to my grade. Doing this step also helps find any overlooked details, but also help edit anything that maybe unnecessary for the project. In my past projects, I have been known to add unneeded information into the project. Looking through my project helps me take out any unnecessary information from my projects. Though this is also a significant step to my strategy, it also helps answer the question that was asked of the project.
The main point of a school project is to answer the question that is asked of by the instructor. Whether the project is about support for raising the minimum wage or stating a personal opinion on abortion, the project or report must answer the question that is being asked. From my past experiences on school projects, I have been known to supply an enormous amount of information to my project, but I would not be answering the question I would be asked. Now, I look through my school project and I make sure I have answered the question(s) I have been asked. Once I know I have answered the question(s) for the project, I would turn my project in early, unless I am told otherwise by the instructor.
Taking my time and looking over my project helps me check for any details I might miss or any questions I didn't answer in my project. After many past experiences, I have learned to look over my projects to make sure all questions are answered, no details are overlooked, and no unnecessary information is left in the school project. Using this strategy has helped me get better grades on my school projects.
