When I begin college, I plan on studying criminal justice and specializing in forensic investigation. This major is incredibly important to society in many different ways and I hope that by joining this field, I will be able to help many people and make a difference.
The field of criminal justice encompasses many different things. To begin, this major is the starting point for many law enforcement officers. These people are trained to understand the law and the rights of citizens to keep their communities safe at all times. This is very important to our society because without these officers, there would be much more chaos in our everyday lives and we could never be sure of our safety at any given time. To continue, criminal justice is also the path taken by those that go on to work in prestigious fields such as the CIA or FBI. These individuals are also protecting our society but at a much larger scale. We might not always be aware of it, but they are always at work remaining vigilant to keep our society safe. A criminal justice degree is able to directly benefit society in numerous ways.
Another incredibly important area of study is forensic investigation. This is a more specific aspect of criminal justice that involves the work done by those first to arrive at a crime scene. The people who pursue this career have the crucial role of ensuring that the crime scene is secured and that all evidence is properly collected. It is very important that all evidence found at a crime scene not be tampered with in any way. This is a great way to protect society. By keeping track of the collection of evidence, one can be sure that no innocent person will be wrongly accused of having been involved in the crime. At the same time, the evidence will help to identify the true culprit so that they can be removed from society to keep everyone safe. In addition, it could help to exonerate someone who has already been wrongly convicted and return them to their normal life and role in their society and community. This role is what keeps our communities together and protected. Forensic investigation is a field that is vital to our communities and society as a whole.
With my degree in criminal justice and forensic investigation, I hope to be able to give back to society. I plan on becoming a crime scene investigator once I finish my schooling. This job is incredibly important and I am prepared to take it on with all that I have. Crime scene investigators help society in many ways that are not always visible. Their work in collecting evidence and reasoning as they put the puzzle pieces of a crime together is invaluable. They are the individuals who are able to give closure to victims of crimes and their families which is something that should never be overlooked. To continue, crime scene investigators also play the role of protectors to our society. They work right alongside law enforcement officers at every crime scene. Their joint work in solving a crime is crucial to keeping our communities safe. Every crime scene is an opportunity to learn more and better understand how to prevent these events from occurring in the future. Crime scene investigators are able to help society immensely with their hard work.
Criminal justice is a field that works to serve our society at large. It paves the way for the careers of police officers, CIA agents, crime scene investigators and so many more. Without it being available as a route of study, there is no telling what the state of our society would be.
