What a passion for education means to me. by Laurie - July 2019 Scholarship Essay

I have a passion for education. What does that mean exactly? Well, to me it means three things. It means having a lifelong love of learning, either in your field of study, knowledge in general, or a little of both. It also means knowing everything you can in your chosen field and being open to changes that may come your way. Finally, it means sharing your knowledge with others.
Having a passion for education means a lifelong love of learning. It may be an interest in your field or just knowledge in general. To me this means that from the moment you begin your education to times when you need to update your skills, you are soaking up everything you can from classes and studying. You put forth the utmost effort, striving not just to pass the class but to pull out every little bit of knowledge and experience your teachers present to you.
Having a passion for education means knowing everything I can in my field of early childhood development and education. It means learning and growing and being open to change.
A passion for education also means sharing your knowledge with others. I love to share with others what I have learned and love educating others about my field of study. I love using my knowledge to pass on information and skills to my students.
