For a long time, I could not answer this question. No one would ever come to my mind. When I transferred from Naperville North High School to St. Francis High School, though, I had finally found my answer. When I think of someone having a positive impact on my education, I think of one teacher: Mr. Mamminga.

First off, it would be an understatement to say that music is my life. It's my whole universe. I have always loved to sing and play the drums; it genuinely is my passion. While I was at Naperville North, though, it was difficult for me to express this because of the very few music programs offered. I found myself struggling to fit in anywhere at North because of it, too. Once I transferred to Francis, I realized how much it really can be different, though. There are so many differentiating music programs for me there. Even a class called "Rock band".

Mr. Mamminga showed me there is a place to fit in at school. He believed in me since I transferred and showed me that I had the talent needed. He is a great role model and continues to be an amazing person.
