Do you love learning? I do. Learning leads to so many adventures for me—and for you!

You can learn everywhere and at any time. When you go to school, you learn. When you play a new game on the playground, you learn. When you meet a new friend, you learn. When you play soccer or dance, you learn. When you read your favorite book, you learn.

Learning is important because if you’re always learning, you’ll never get bored. The more you know, the more exciting new places and things you can explore. You can sail across the ocean or trek through the jungle or discover dinosaur fossils.

Has someone every given you money for your birthday or your allowance? It’s fun to spend money on things you want like toys or candy. If you never stop learning, you will always discover new ways to make more and more money to spend on things you want and need. Right now, your parents make sure you have a warm bed and food to eat. When you grow up, you will need to buy these things for yourself. Don’t worry! As long as you keep learning, you will be able to get a job and earn money to pay for these things. Then, you can choose your own bed and eat whatever you want!

Learning is fun, and it’s a great way to make friends! Learning with friends is the best way to learn. Have you ever shown a friend how to play a video game? Once they learn, you can play together and help each other get better and advance to higher rounds! Do you play a sport like soccer or an activity like ballet? What makes these things so fun is sharing them with your friends. Believe it or not, you’re learning when you’re playing video games, running down the soccer field, or learning a new position in ballet. Some of the best friends you will ever have are ones you with whom you learned new things.

Sometimes learning is hard. When you can’t figure out a math problem in school or when you don’t know how to read a difficult word in a book, you might feel sad or frustrated. That’s ok! The important thing is to keep trying and never give up. Eventually, you will get it. As you get older, you will learn harder and harder things. If you never stop learning, you will grow into an adult who is never bored and who is always brave when facing new adventures.
