School projects are one of the most stressful aspects of the 12 years of the school system. Once given, depending on the nature of them, could take days, weeks, to even months to do. The killer of projects is the big procrastination, something that affects even the strongest ones. For this reason, every individual needs to have a strategy to be able to successfully complete projects. On school projects, I tend to research the topic and then create a schedule with small tasks to be able to successfully complete the project.
Researching the topic and finding out what is the purpose of it, is one of the strategies that help me be successful with the school project. Without background knowledge on the topic, it could become difficult to even start the topic or complete it. Knowing what you’re looking for and what you are speaking off could help you start off on the right foot and not stumble throughout. It could also possibly enrich your experience with the project, which can be beneficial to the whole project overall.
Creating a schedule is one of the most efficient ways you can successfully complete a project. Usually when you end up doing something really fast then having success in the project is pretty hard. When I receive a project the first step I tend to do is break up what needs to be done in multiple days. A schedule is beneficial and it allows you to organize and focus on certain aspects of the project. For example, if the project is making a 3-D model on a historical event and it is due in one week, then you can divide what needs to be done in five days. Maybe one day you can research the event, then the second day gather the materials, and the rest of the week create the project.
Success in a project takes time and commitment. Researching the topic beforehand and creating a schedule allows you to have success in a project and even allows you to be less stressful and enjoy the experience much more.
