We Learn Every Day! by Lacy - September 2018 Scholarship Essay

In 25 years, I hope to be a successful physician's assistant. By going into medicine, I strongly feel that it changes every day and I will be constantly learning the new and improved forms of medical technology. I feel that learning is important to keep the mind healthy and achieve the most that you can.
Learning is important in medicine and everyday life. You have to learn how to pay bills, time management, studying, and many other necessities to be a successful adult. As a future physician’s assistant, I am currently learning medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, and I am enrolled in a EMT basics class to give myself experience in the medical field. I am quickly learning that going into the medical field that I am always learning something new because laws and regulations as well as procedures are changing as technology and research continues to discover quicker and more efficient methods to achieve better outcomes.
I feel that I will not only still be learning the rapidly changing medical protocol and procedure but also how to teach others wanting to join the field. I feel that 25 years from now I will be learning how to use new technology that continues to progress, how to manage family life and work, and how to be a wife and mother. I feel that 25 years from now I will be learning how to encourage more young adults to go to college, and how to care for my aging family member. The biggest thing that I hope that I have learned is how to ensure that there are less people in the third generation saying they are the first to go to college.
In conclusion I still have a lot to learn within the next 25 years and hope there are more youth able to achieve certifications and college credit in high school. I strongly feel that learning is important to maintain good emotional, mental, and physical health. I feel that learning is the best way to continue and have the best life possible.
