Reflect on a particular subject or topic that has sparked your intellectual curiosity and passion for learning. How has this area of study influenced your academic pursuits and shaped your educational goals for the future? by Laci - February 2025 Scholarship Essay

Science has always been my favorite subject. When I started biology my freshman year of high school I loved it. I am currently in Forensics as a senior. I am excited to see where this class goes. So far I love it. Learning observation skills. This class also deals with psychology. I also like learning about the human brain and why we function the way we do.
Any form of science sparks my interest. In science your brain is always challenged. There are so many new things to learn everyday. Science helps us develop new technology to discover new things. It keeps our brains active and helps with problem solving. Forensic science is one of my favorites. I love being able to solve forensic cases and keep my brain challenged.
Science has led me to my future career path. After high school I am going to college for criminology and forensics. I love the idea of my career keeping me busy all the time. This career path will keep me challenged. That is what I want for my future. Finding underlying evidence, how the crime was made, and why they did it. I feel like I have the right personality for this path. My love for science was the biggest inspiration for this.
