My hopes for a successful college career by Kyona - February 2021 Scholarship Essay

Success in college can mean different things to everyone. I define success as doing all that you can, to be the best you can. Success in college is something that not all people care about. Some people just want to scrape by just enough to pass so they have time to party with friends, and others want to go above and beyond by studying hard in college.
I personally want to go above and beyond in college. I would love to get straight A’s in all of my classes, and participate in band or other extracurriculars that I find interesting. To achieve these goals I’m taking classes that will prepare me for my future, and I work hard in school and at my job so I can be successful later in life.
I feel confident that I will accomplish all of my goals for my future. I have an amazing support system of people at work who are currently enrolled in the major I am planning to go into. They have helped me prepare myself for my future in so many ways by telling me what I will need to do in order to be successful in my college classes. I am so grateful for all the help they have given me.
