The Best Learning Environment for Me by Konner - October 2014 Scholarship Essay
My ideal classroom environment would be a minimum of twenty students and knowledgeable teacher. I would prefer this environment because I am from a small school of three hundred and eighty-seven students including elementary and this small environment I am used to. I like there being smaller classes so I am better able to get more one on one time with the teacher because of my disability of being deaf/hearing impaired. I have attended the same school since the beginning of my schooling in elementary including preschool. Everybody who knows me will tell you that I love learning and that I have not let my disability get the better of me and instead have overcome it with my success in life and school.
Smaller environments have helped me succeed in my education because of the extra tutoring, the quiet classrooms, cooperating classmates, and extremely helpful and understanding teachers. I am an all A’s honor-roll student and I have yet to be off that list in my eleven schooling years. Another addition to an ideal classroom environment would be classmates not interrupting your learning and instead wanting to learn just as much as me and be just as successful. So, all in all my ideal classroom would have to be small, have knowledgeable teachers, students that want a higher education, and people wanting more for themselves in life.
