New Year Same Me

Going from a senior in High school to a new freshman in college it is important for me to understand that there will be many changes not only in my environment but in my self being as well. This isn’t exactly an essay to start new but to do as I always had in the past, and that is to be myself.

I have always from a young age stood out from my other siblings. Whether it be from learning new things or never giving up on something old. I always had the dedication to be something everyone said was impossible from such a small town like Moyers, Oklahoma. Coming from divorced parents I had to grow up early and although it was hard I would not go back and change it for the world. It made me appreciate the finer things and to be more responsible with financial things.

I got my first job at 15 at Sonic-Drive in and worked my way up to a manager in just my junior year in high school. I also tutor and do community service in my spare time.
Getting this scholarship would mean a lot to me because I feel like I can continue to be myself without having to worry about financial struggles in my college career. Thank you for reading my essay and I hope to hear back from you with a good response.
