6 year-old Dreams by Kinaya - June 2017 Scholarship Essay

As a child, growing up and becoming someone important or a celebrity was our main focus. Many of us wanted to grow up to be a famous movie star or an amazing singing superstar. However, when I was six year-old, my dream was to become a fashion designer.
Being a Fashion designer may not be anything special to a lot of kids my age but it was just something I have always wanted to be apart of. I love piecing new things together even as a child and made the decision to do it in the future. I remember when i use to stay in the house and just draw different outfits that from a kids's eye look very good and would to create it someday. However, this career did not stick with me as I got older. When I got older my career changed to becoming a psychologist, then currently a lawyer. The reason why I changed my career choice to being a psychologist was because by the time I got to high school I did not even know how to sew. Therefore, I got the idea of instead of dressing people in nice clothes, I could help them with their problem. However, I then thought I am more of a debater than to help form a compromise. Now I am in further schooling to do what want to become which is a lawyer.
Overall, as a six year- old I wanted to become a fashion designer but now that I have grown and found myself, I finally found career that fits me perfectly. I found out that I can help people get the proper justice for crimes by debating. Therefore my current and finally decision is to become a lawyer. I feel like if I made the right choice even though my fashion career could have did something for me as long as i am helping someone I think any career choice is right for me.
