One of my biggest achievements in my education so far has been learning English. I was born in the United States but do to lives circumstances I had to live in Mexico for 8 years since my father couldn’t come to the United States. Due to this matter I never learned English but I was fortunate to learn Spanish. When life finally gave my family the opportunity move to the United States it was not an easy process by any means. For the first few year I was living in the United States I was having a lot of difficult trying to learn the language. At a point not know language got so bad that staff from my school wanted me to go back to kindergarten so I could learn with the little kids. Seeing everyone around me having on hope in my ability to learn the language really affected me but I turned this disappointment of others
into power that got me to the point I am at today. I started working extra hard trying to learn the language until I actually completed my goal. Learning English was one of my hardest education challenges and one that has given me the best rewards, because as my mom says “the more languages you know the more door that open for you”. I believe this education achievement will help me in my future goals because it allows connect with others, to understand others, and help other; all things that are crucial when going into a psychology career. This being my next goal in life.
