Wisdom by Kevin - October 2018 Scholarship Essay

The term thinking outside the box is used constantly, but what does it mean. To me thinking outside the box is to use an idea that is unique and that idea has to work.To think outside the box is to be creative. However, creativity doesn't mean your thinking outside the box, it's just the first step. Thinking outside the box can be described as finding new possibilities that work.

To think outside the box the components you need are to think wryly, creatively, and to think wisely. Creatively and Wisely are the prerequisites to thinking outside the box, but thinking wryly is an added bonus.
How can you differentiate thinking outside the box and a stupid idea. One is successful or has the potential to succeed and one is illogical and for certain won't succeed. Solvency is crucial for thinking outside the box because if it doesn't solve a problem then that idea would just be a failure. That's why being creative isn't the only thing you need to think outside the box.

Thinking outside the box also means to think in a different perspective. By looking at different points of views and choosing the idea that works best even if it is unorthodox. It is also possible to use ideas that are conventional and expand on it leading to new ideas.

In the end thinking outside the box is finding ways to solve problems using new and different possibilities. It is important to think outside the box and don't be discouraged if your idea is unorthodox just because no one has thought of it. Put it to use and prove that it useful.
