THE BOY WITH A DREAM by Kerry - April 2025 Scholarship Essay

People would describe me as a determined, friendly, quiet, and down-to-earth person. My interests span various fields, including athletics, arts, music, and technology. I run track, play football, draw, listen to music and play piano (slowly learning).
My primary goal is to become involved in sports in some way, whether it's by becoming a sports agent, athlete trainer, or coach. I also aspire to work with organizations that focus on working with children. I want to make a positive impact in their lives. I want to teach kids that sports are an important part of life. Sports teach kids how to cooperate with their peers, responsibility, and sportsmanship. I want to teach them my life lessons and help them to become better individuals on and off the field.
Attending college is the first step in achieving my goals. The academic environment will provide me with the knowledge and skills necessary to get a degree in sports management. I am excited about the opportunity to engage with my professors and collaborate with peers who share the same goals as I do. I am open to learning all that I can.
College will offer me the chance to explore various extracurricular activities and organizations. These experiences will help me build a network of individuals and professionals who can help support my journey. It will allow me to network with others who have the same goals that I have and help me keep my social calendar full.
Ultimately, college will serve as a gateway for my career, providing me with the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to take my dreams to the next level. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and am committed to using my education to advocate for a more equitable and sustainable future.
