Argument for continued learning is primarily about the greater employment and the consequently greater salaries. However, employment is not necessarily just to earn cash but rather one’s expression of their hard work and passion.
On the other hand, those against college believe that it is a waste of time and they are right. Continued education is a broad term and should not necessarily point towards colleges. Finding an extension to your knowledge is continuing education. People argue plumbers or janitors do not need a degree nor understand Italian literature and their argument is correct except they do have continued education. However, their continued education is not necessarily the commonly thought of four year college but an apprenticeship, internship, or simply a stepping stone job.
Furthermore, education is affected by the location. While one can argue that they are motivated enough to hustle and therefore do not need secondary education, not everyone has the know how to start a business or rush into long term employment. Going to college, an institution of higher learning, surrounds people with peers for motivation and inspiration.
Continued education may not come in the form that you may think it does. Regardless, its brings varying benefits from greater career paths and potential wage as well as enabling people to pursue what they enjoy. Though continued education means more time learning, it is not always in a classroom or from books or unenjoyable.
