Dear Scholarship Committee,

I am immensely honored and delighted to submit my application for the Varsity Tutors College Scholarship Contest. I am Kelton Kern, a committed and industrious rising junior at Bethany College majoring in Architecture Engineering who maintains a consistent 3.4 GPA in both high school and college. Having been born and bred in the United States, I am a proud member of this great nation and its innovative, industrious spirit.

The journey towards becoming an Architect Engineer began with a fascination for understanding how abstract concepts could be manipulated to yield tangible and meaningful results. The idea of transforming pure science and mathematical ideas into physical structures and systems that can significantly impact society's well-being intrigued me. This intrigue quickly morphed into a passion, a passion that drove me to major in engineering at Bethany College.

Finding innovative techniques to solve the architecture industry's pressing issues is at the heart of why I chose this field of study. The prospect of playing a part in developing sustainable construction methods, optimising resources, and ultimately contributing to the creation of safer and more efficient structures is what motivates me every day.
