My Classroom by Kelsey - October 2014 Scholarship Essay
My ideal classroom would be organized. It would be a comfortable temperate so that I would be able to focus. The people in the classroom would be enjoyable to be around. They wouldn’t act immature when the teacher is talking. And everyone would be respectful to themselves and to everyone else in the room. It would be a place that is easy to focus in. And the teacher would have us do hands-on activities to help us understand.
This type of classroom would help me succeed because I would be able to focus and learn more. I have learned that I learn better when we do hands-on activities. It helps me absorb the information better. If the student in the classroom are respectful and act mature it would also help me learn more. Without any distractions. To me being able to focus is key to learning. If I am not able to focus on the things the teacher is saying to us or showing to us then it becomes hard to learn. The teacher would also be friendly and open to helping us if we needed it. They would be open to working with us before or after school to make sure we understands the things they taught us.
