My Personal Role Model by Keala - March 2021 Scholarship Essay

Personally, my academic role model would be my avid teacher, Mrs. Alano. Mrs. Alano is the most hard working, kind, most selfless teacher I know of in my opinion. I’ve been her avid and advisory student for the last two years of my high school years and it’s been the best so far. She’s absolutely the best teacher anybody can have.
Mrs. Alano makes sure to keep us students in check and makes sure we’re alright mentally, physically, and emotionally. She goes out of her way to ask us personal questions since she’s close to all of us, and makes sure we’re doing good. She’s like my second mom.
Not only does she makes sure we’re doing good, she is a teacher that has gone to college, pursued her bachelor’s degree, and did everything needed to became an official teacher. A hard working teacher. She fits 100% to be an academic role model for many individuals.
For Avid, we would do many community service projects and all of us students would share and develop greater bonds with one another because of her. She would also make us get in circles in class to share things like, what you did over the weekend, what’s your favorite season, favorite school subject, and more. We would also do partner projects frequently so that’s basically how all of her students including me became close, altogether with her.
Another thing is that Avid, gets us prepared for college and what to expect in college. Mrs. Alano is our avid teacher and makes sure we’re caught up with everything. Avid does many things like tutorials for whatever school subject they’re on and sharing it to other students, as if they’re the ones teaching, and more.
Mrs. Alano has become such a special person to me and I’m sure for most of her students. She has a special place in my heart and I won’t forget the amount of great impact she has on me. That is why she is my academic role model.
