Some things I think would be amazing to see in the education system in the future is more preparation of students for actual careers, not just college. To me, I felt like in high school, they were almost too adequate in getting students excited and prepared to go into college and succeed but there was no focus on helping you learn what to go to school for or what career would bring the most satisfaction to your life. There were a few who knew what they wanted to do and were ready to pursue it but for those who didn't, we were left behind.
As one of the students who were left behind, I think that having a class that focused on showing you different careers and career fields and getting to interact with those who work in that field would have been very helpful. There shouldn't be a pressure of a pass or fail for this type of class, it should purely be for the benefit of the student. Providing a larger variety of options for electives in school that touch an aspect in different fields would be beneficial. There shouldn't be any pressure on the student to remain in a career field class if they don't like it, they should be able to switch to another.
Personally, I think that being given an opportunity like this would benefit all student, all people. Some schools may already implement things like this but in the next 10 years I'd like to see it everywhere.
