Tesla by Katrina - January 2018 Scholarship Essay
This word has been chosen as I have been wanting to work at Tesla. What they strive for, clean air, is something I support greatly as the air quality where I live is quite poor. Although there are laws that have been made that are pushing forward the use of clean air, it is not enough. Previously I have thought of creating my own car company like Tesla, but I prefer the idea of being hired instead as I favor their efforts for clean air.
When I attend college next year, I have chosen to take mechanical engineering for six years or more as it is the only type of engineering I like. College is what will help me achieve my goal of working at Tesla. I know that it will give me the knowledge I need to accomplish it. The price tag that comes with attending college, what only concerns me is the quality of the education they offer.
The college I have been accepted to thankfully has everything I want and it is where I want to receive my education from. I imagine it will help me by preparing me for my dream job at Tesla. To work there would absolutely be an honor and I can happily work on improving their automobiles and hopefully help the company expand into different industries. If I do choose not to work there, I may prefer BMW as they have always been my favorite car company. Disappointedly, they currently do not have many options of electric vehicles to choose from. Yet they do have the potential for constructing non-gas powered cars and to make great efforts toward clean air.
College will prepare me for the long run as in working at a car company. It will aid me in accomplishing my dreams and improve my skills along the way. I see myself being accepted into Tesla in the next six years and improving the lives of the people, not just improving the quality of the air. I shall use my education that I will receive in the future wisely and for bettering the peoples’ lives.
