My Biggest Contrubtion to my community by Katerina - January 2024 Scholarship Essay

Assisting the homeless people in my town has been my greatest contribution. The globe is overrun with homeless people, and my neighborhood is no exception. I made the decision to act. In helping the homeless, I planned a full community service project. I collect items that I believe will be most helpful to the homeless. Items such as winter hats, gloves, socks, toothbrushes, combs, and plenty of other items. I am aware that winter can be very cold, and although the rest of us are covered up inside our houses, homeless people may not have anything other than old, hole-filled garments to keep warm.
I desired to give them a sense of belonging. I desired for them to understand that they were in my thoughts. After gathering the supplies, I managed to distribute them by putting them in a bag. I did this for the first time, largely with family, just to see how it worked out. Every year, I would like to try to gather supplies and distribute them to the homeless in my neighborhood as well as to other communities. I want them to understand how much they are loved. My goal is to assist as many people as I can.
