What is my biggest goal for the school year? by katelynne - September 2020 Scholarship Essay

The question before me has no disregard for the past 9 months and thirteen days, of the year 2020. The year of the iconic double-ply toilet paper shortage; Where the streets burned, and the people of the world grew ill due to a virus that killed thousands. My biggest goal of the school year 2020-2021 is to become a better person for myself and the people around me that seem to care about me. No matter how small I think I am in the world I try to remember how much I mean to someone. Life is a roller coaster and the only goals that I have are goals that every person has in there life. I want to lose weight, I want to fall in love, I want to graduate High School, and go to college. This school year looks very bright for me, I may not have any friends but I have my integrity and a plan for my life that frankly I need help with.

I'm not a rich 4.0 GPA student, i'm not the smartest person in the school, and i'm not someone to give up. I worked 3 jobs at the age of 14 to help my disabled mom, who was being abused by my father, along with us kids. I am a hard working young adult with a heart of gold that just wants to be able to help anyone in anyway possible. So I chose being a nurse first, then go back to school for equine training, so I can be a helpful person of society. I would also like to foster kids, I have a lot of goals for my life but only a few for the past year. I know I can do this though.
