What is leadership and who in my life shows these characteristics? If you look up what a leader is it may tell you someone who finds potential or an individual who has a plan. But I think a leader is a way maker or loop whole finder. A leader is a person who can find a way when all ways seem to have resolved. Most people will also say this person is their mother or grandmother. While in grad school I have found this woman who exceeds the word leadership and embodies the word community. What makes her a leader is that she embraces the trip that the group has decided on. She is a graceful leader who is not a bull but more of a feather in the wind who somehow always ends up in the correct place at precisely the correct time. My leader is a six-foot grey-haired woman who is confident in her work she was the first person who has been taller than me and held herself apart to draw people’s attention to her mission. Which is to stop brutality and stop division among humans.
I guess what I am trying to say is that leadership is graceful, and Leaders should always be for the ones you are serving and never for yourself. My person is a leader, and she inspires all to become leaders as she is.
