Career changing by Kaitlynn - February 2025 Scholarship Essay

I was a kid that always kept changing their future career. Everything interested me. When I was a sophomore, this all changed. I had to take a biology class, and I never really cared for science. I ended up loving the class and the way the teacher taught it, making biology really exciting. When I was a junior, I saw a class labeled as " Biomedical science". Using the prefix of bio, I thought it was a more detailed biology class. It was more medical, but I ended up loving it. Now I'm in two medical related classes as a senior, and I still don't know what I want to do yet, but I really narrowed it. I am now set on getting a bachelor's in biology. I still might get a doctorate, something in the medical field. Overall, just impressed about how I got so into the medical field when I thought I never would. It is all thanks to taking the biology class my sophomore year.
Teachers can make a huge impact on a child's life with their academics. If a student has a problem with the teacher, it can make the student really dislike the subject. This is why I am so appreciative of taking the biology class that I did, because it made me realize what I really enjoy in life.
