If I could study abroad, this would make a major positive impact on my college education. Studying abroad gives you the opportunity to study in a foreign nation and take in the culture of a brand new land. You get to see a whole new world and you get to experience many different types of education. By enrolling in a study abroad program, you get the chance to see a side of your major, that you may have never seen before. You also get the opportunity to take in a new culture. Many students who choose to study abroad, are leaving home for the very first time. When they arrive in their new host country, they will find new foods, customs, traditions, and social atmospheres. Chances are if you’re planning on studying abroad, one of the major draws is the opportunity to study a foreign language. Study abroad grants you the opportunity to completely immerse yourself in a new language. If you choose to study abroad, you could find many new interests. You may find activities like hiking, water sports, snow skiing, golf, or other various sports that you may have never tried at home.
The most beneficial part that comes from studying abroad, is the ability to make a lot of new friends. While studying abroad, you attend school and live with the students from your host country. This gives you the opportunity to really get to know and create lasting relationships, with your fellow students. There is nothing quite like, studying in a foreign country and being on your own. You gain the opportunity to discover yourself while gaining an understanding of a different culture. Studying abroad is also a huge thing to put on future job applications. Future employers, look very high on study abroad experiences. These types of students, show the diversity and that they are not afraid to see new challenges and put themselves into difficult situations. For many students, this opportunity may be the only one they ever get to travel abroad. Take this opportunity to travel the world with no commitments, but to study and learn about new cultures. Studying abroad is truly an experience, unlike any other.
