(insert book title here) by Kah-lille - June 2014 Scholarship Essay
If I were to write my own book I would use the novel "Holes" by Louis Sachar as a reference for me. To this day "Holes" is my all time favorite book that I've read and I figure it's because of how the past connects to the present in more ways than one. In my book I would reuse that same motif in a similar way, but with a superhero type origin story.
I'm just obsessed with seeing how superheroes are born/created and how whatever choices they make have an impact on them. I like seeing a good character go bad kind of like in the movie "Chronicle". One of the protagonists, Andrew, begins abusing his new telekinesis abilities, but only do to how bad things are for him. He has good intentions, he just goes about it the wrong way though.
I would love to make a book with all these ideas because it would be nice to see readers take the time to put the whole story together and be entertained by it. So to be honest, I'm not sure how I would make my book and it's specific detail, but I would take the time to incorporate both of these ideas into it in someway...
