Going to college for me is bigger than the parties, friends, and freedom which comes with going to college. College is the foundation in which I feel as though my life’s path will stand upon. It is the place where I will fall but get back up, while still being hopeful of my dreams being a reach away. The ideology of college is also more than a diploma, it is the place where I will build lifelong relationships and learn lifelong skills that will be with me throughout my entire life.
I come from two parents that engraved the importance of education in me. I also am a descendent of a group of people that fought hard to obtain the right to gain an education. I believe this aspect of my identity will allow college to have a stronger impact on my future. The respect in which college stands upon will also have a great impact on my future. My goal is to go to college and obtain a business degree on a pre-law track, shortly after I will go to law school and be a certified lawyer. My ultimate end goal is to open up my own law practice that helps kids in need of a safer living environment. This business will not only allow me to help kids and families in need but it will also allow me to give back to my community.
To sum it up, the college experience is an opportunity that will impact my future in many ways. It is an experience full of networking, hard work, and dream chasing. These three characteristics will be the main things I remember as life goes on, it will be the determination of failing or succeeding in life.
