If you had unlimited time and money, how would you use what you've learned in school to create a positive impact on the world? by Justin - April 2023 Scholarship Essay
Nationally the quality and education of schools are slowly declining while our population is increasing. As a country we need to do better to give out future scholars the schools they need and deserve, it is not right that we are having to close down schools or discontinue someś's education because of the lack of money, schools, or needs. If I had unlimited time and money I would build as many schools as possible and fund for all of them to have programs available to many students' interests. Schools are a big need worldwide and sadly some children don't have any.
Schools have become a growing need in society and we as a country need to make sure we have good enough schools to support the younger generation incoming. Many have lost knowledge or have gotten depressed over the pandemic with schools shutting down and this showed our governmentś how even though school can be stressful at points, it's necessary for every American and every non-American out there. Parents and future parents should be comfortable with sending their children to school knowing they are there to learn and not have to worry about if their childś's school will close and then what happens from there.
The quality of schools also matters. I myself go to a school where sinks don't work, lunches are bad with low quality, bathrooms are broken, walls look like they are falling down, teachers are racist, perverted, etc and it's not a comfortable situation to be in. I had the lack of quality a teacher should have in a classroom when I was in sophomore year and neither school nor the district did anything about it. This should not just be an issue with me or anyone worldwide, this shouldn't be an issue at all. If anything the government should care about what is going on inside classrooms and make sure schools have a better safety environment for our future scholars. This future generation should not have to worry about going to school with these matters and should be in safe hands instead.
If I had all the money in the world available to me, I would fund all schools and programs that would open up under my power. Not only should we fund programs but we should also donate money to schools that are struggling and prevent them from closing down. Im sure kids would love to have programs and clubs and field trips available to them with the funding these schools need. Programs would be saved and the choices of what kids would want to be will just keep growing from there.
In conclusion, schools should be built and programs should be saved. We need to do something about this nationally to make sure to stop the closing of schools and instead continue the future of our scholars. I'm Just a kid with a dream but that dream is hoping someone can read this and take action physically. The future of education relies on our own hands.
