Leaving My Mark by Julia - November 2019 Scholarship Essay

The second I walk out those doors for the last time, I will no longer be a student, I will be an alumni. From this point on, my high school career is over. Once this happens, I want to leave a part of me behind. Everything I did prior to graduation, will be left for the future generations to see. I want to leave my mark on Fenton High School forever. I have positively impacted my school through National Honors Society.

Being a member of National Honors Society, I have maintained a high GPA, allowing me to get know the faculty and staff, creating great relationships. I have also spent countless hours giving back to my school, as well as my community. I've put a lot of my time and effort into helping local businesses, to even make the town a better place. My goal at the end of all of this, was to develop Fenton High School to its highest potential, and even do the same for my hometown.

Through this experience I have met so many influential people from the public. These are the people that inspire me to keep volunteering, making me feel as if I am making a difference. I'm so happy I decided to join National Honors Society; I wouldn't be the same person if I had not joined. I hope participating in National Honors Society helped me leave my mark on Fenton High School.
