Still being young and having a short mentality, it is a good time to discuss about further education in the future, as it can help them by giving them a small idea of what is to come and help them prepare for it.
Describing the significance of education towards a second grader can be really impactful as it prepares them for what is to come and helps them pursue their goals beyond in education. Second Graders being so young, the majority of them still haven't planned for their future on what to do or how serious education is going to be in the future. Telling them what to expect and how to prepare for further education can help them dramatically, as they get a sense of what type of education they are going to encounter, and how serious it is. Having them learn about their future education that they soon plan to take in the future, gives them a better idea on what they want to study and what pathway they would like to take.
