Me in the Future and Where I See Myself by Joy - March 2025 Scholarship Essay

Since I was very young, I have dreamed of becoming a doctor. Being in a large family of ten, I was always in and out of the hospital between appointments, accidents, or even just sickness. Getting to observe doctors and nurses showed me my passion for medicine and how I want to be able to help people the way that they do. This created one of my most significant goals: attending medical school and gaining the knowledge needed to achieve my dream career. Throughout my current educational path, I have learned what it means to be a hard worker and learned the concept of perseverance, which I believe is crucial for my desired path. Attending high school has helped me learn what it will take to become an adult and know how to be successful, as they taught me how to apply to my wanted university and figure out how to achieve my goals. I plan to work through college, majoring in pre-medical sciences, and attend medical school, later returning to my hometown to become an Obstetrician at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center. Ten years from now, I see myself working in this hospital and helping new parents learn how to have and care for a baby and any future children that they may have.
