Inside the Mind of an Organized High School Student by Josie - December 2017 Scholarship Essay
As the years go on in high school it seems that we are assigned less projects than the year before. However, when we are assigned a project it must be extremely detailed and creative. The most difficult projects in my opinion are the spanish ones that require you to write everything in spanish and present it in spanish. The key to an organized and successful school project is to have an outline of the project, daily work on the project, and checking your work before you turn it in.
One of the very first steps to a successful project is to strategize what your project will look like. A good way to begin this step is by creating an outline and writing down the things that are required to be in the project. In order for your project to have a good structure you must complete an outline in order to establish guidelines among your group.
A common issue among teenagers is procrastination and it is very noticeable on homework and projects. A rushed project may still be amazing but working on it everyday provides more detail in the project, Daily work also allows for more time spent looking over for any grammatical or spelling errors which could prove instrumental when deciding what grade you deserve.
When people finish a long report or project they tend to want to just turn it in and get it over with. Checking over your work is a very important thing to do for every project and you should even have someone else with fresh eyes look over it. After the same person reads over it so many times they tend to read what they want it to say instead of what they wrote, and they miss key things that could affect their grade.
All three of these steps are crucial to a well-organized and successful project. Projects require time, hardwork, and patience when constructing it but with all three of these steps you could have an amazing project. Even though projects are becoming more and more rare, they are still something that requires time and detail in order to make a good presentation.
