The Art Life by Joseph - October 2016 Scholarship Essay

As I wake up every morning on my last year of high school, the one that I never expected to get to, it comes to my mind a question that has been in my head since freshman year, What would I do after graduating high school? It sounds pretty easy to say that I will attend college, but it really takes a lot more than what I expected. But it never came to my mind that if I had to be a teacher what would be the subject that I will teach, this is a really difficult question to answer because when I think about it, it´s not only my favorite subject, I think about a subject that I really known, that I will enjoy teaching, and that in a future will have a positive impact in life of the students that I had taught.
There are many subject that I enjoyed taking in my high school years, but there is some that I don´t have the capacity to guide my friends in these classes, but in some other ones I consider myself outstanding in them and since a young age I have been successful in them, and that one subject is arts, to be specific crafting arts. This is the subject that I have always enjoyed taking and have always succeeded in them since my early years of school, I consider myself capable of teaching this to future students and being that teacher that doesn't only teach, but the one that helps all his students in the most personal way and provides the attention required to any special needs.
I will teach this subject because when somebody elaborates a piece of art it is not only the grade they will receive in that specific class, the elaboration of a single piece of art is the result of many years of practice, many years of fail, and I consider that when somebody makes any type of art it expresses who they are and how a person feels. Art is an excellent way to demonstrate who you really are and what better to be that teacher that gets to known his students through these incredible processes that take to create a piece of art.
