My Mission by Joseph - March 2016 Scholarship Essay

I am a man that lives for God first, my family second, and my country third. My goals and my future have been developed throughout my schooling, and throughout how I have judged what was right and what was wrong. My drive for a better tomorrow is shown through my future as a student. The excitement of becoming a future engineer is what makes me wake up every day, and it is what makes fall asleep and realize that my dreams are right around the corner. Faith that god gives me and hope for a better future are the best descriptions for this selection process.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). Faith in God has molded my personality, and has surrounded my life’s purpose. As I have grown, my life has been filled with people who haven’t agreed with me, and people that have agreed. I know that god has a plan for me; my faith is a testimony of his plan. Faith has played a great deal in framing my life.
Hope is described in my life as an uplifting inspiration. "Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are going to fight." (Joshua 10:25)
