Goals Make Success by Jose - August 2022 Scholarship Essay

A goal that I’ve set for my last upcoming academic high school year is to become an undergraduate student for a college that will further my objective to become an automotive engineer. By setting my mind to focus on my studies on AP classes (Advance Placement) ,Honor Courses, and electives like agriculture mechanics and engineering . By putting more hours in my life to push myself further to raise my GPA, SAT, and ACT scores.

Also, extracurricular activities like the FFA (Future Farmers of America) by trying out for CTE teams like mechanic, poultry team, vet team, and wielding team. Also joining more leadership teams and community service activities. Raising my breeding chickens the best way possible, so I can show my chickens the most presentable way possible.

Also, to push myself in the association of NHS (National Honor Society). I joined the program to obtain more hours of community service besides FFA. Also, to help my community which has helped me throughout my life. Since, I lived my whole life with the same community, we became family, by helping each other make fences, to even babysitting others neighbor’s children. So, I wanted to give back to my community which has treated me like their own blood connected family.

Lastly, I strive to leave a meaningful impact and to push myself in the association of NTHS (National Technical Honor Society) that came to the Royse City Highschool last year. Where I became the first person in my chapter to obtain the President position. My plan is to improve my leadership skills and further my study of engineering so I can push myself and my fellow peers in the subject of engineering. Other chapters will think we are an easy target, but this year I will attempt to leave a legacy and leave the support structure for the future leader. Just because we’re a newbie chapter doesn’t mean we’re easy to mess around with.
