As I live, I learn by Jorge - September 2018 Scholarship Essay

Life has many ways of presenting new ideas and concepts to each individual. The way I see myself learning twenty five years from now is by working in different environments and taking on various challenges such as exploring new work environments and more. This will help expand my mind growth, get out of comfort zones and learn how to work on different types of cars.
After earning my degree as a Mechanical Engineer, I see myself working at a dealership and learning new ideas and strategies to maintain an automobile's working condition. I see myself moving from work place to work place in order to be able to gather as much information on all types and models of automobiles I possibly can. Cars being a passion of mine, I find it fascinating on the structure and potential every single car may have so I believe learning new information on a variety of cars would not only be a good way to stay on top of technology and advancement of automobiles but also a good way to spend my working days.
Once I am older I plan on building a car from ground up the way I would like it to be. I hope all the experience I would have gathered by then can help me with restoring a 1967 Chevy Impala or a 1969 Dodge Challenger. Building a car from ground up will help put all of the knowledge I have gathered throughout the years to the test. It will give me a opportunity in putting all resources to use in order to see what I have truly understood and what I must work on. This project will not only assist me in learning about my career but also about life. I will see that dreams can really come true and that all hard work pays off at the end of sleepless nights of hard work.
Having the chance to work for big name companies such as Mercedes Benz, Lamborghini, Nissan etc. in the future would be a great way to help expand my knowledge. This will help me build a reputation to be noticed by other people with the same passion as me and hopefully help me obtain a better job at doing what I love to do. Making decisions like these will help me realize what life is like and learn from all the choices I have made. You must learn from your past to get to where you are headed.
