There is always the common advice that high schoolers would give to incoming freshman such ̈̈Don ́t procrastinate ̈ or ̈ To always do your homework ̈, well there is no better advice than that. This advice that has been passed from highschoolers before us and before them has been the realist of words. But, they might have left a few out. The organization is key. Having everything organized and knowing where it's at, is perfect. Keeping a planner will also be key to succeeding. This also leads not procrastinating and having all of your homework done.
In the beginning, we think that ̈ oh my god! It's high school!¨, in all honesty, there shouldn't be any of that. High School is four amazing years that you should enjoy and love. That being said, there shouldn't be any slacking because one slip up can cause chaos and sooner or later you´ll be stacked up with two days of late homework. If you don't procrastinate and do your homework, the high school will become fun and not a stressful time. This will lead to how well your organization is. If your organization is very clean and tidy, then trying to find your homework and notes will be very easy to do and trust me you do not want to give a crumbled up homework paper to your teacher because you couldn't organize and insert it in your binder. That being said, this organization will lead you to gain responsibility, keeping your locker clean, and later on, you'll see that the effect will lead to a daily basis. Lastly, having a planner. I cannot stress this out anymore but having a planner is like having a second person who can tell you all the homework you have and how much time you need to finish. Planners will help you so much on managing your time and once you get into high school you do not want anything more than a few more hours in a day when you have those midnight essays or projects due. Also, having a planner will keep you organized, do not let you procrastinate and help you manage your time.
See, having all these qualities rely on each other but will stand hold you up like a metal bridge. They all basically need each other so say if you just write in your planner, you will at least have that organized and having your time managed, or with keeping everything organized, you will know where all your homework its located.
In conclusion, you might think that the advice that highschoolers give you is just to ̈vague ̈ or not detailed, but in reality, they are as specific and clear as it gets. These positive habits will become traits and sooner or later you will be doing all these successful ̈ things ̈ and will have an amazing year in high school. So, first, get these abilities on point until they become a habit. Lastly, enjoy these four years. Do not get into fights, or drama because you do not want to jeopardize the time you have with your fellow classmates. These are four years you won't get back if you just screw around. Choose Wisely.
