Time Management and Me by Joey - January 2016 Scholarship Essay
Time management has always been a difficult thing for me. I do too much or not enough. I have a hard time reaching that perfect inbetween. The way that I would achieve my resolution of being better with time keeping is to keep a planner. I have a planner, but I have a hard time sticking with it. I still make all As, but if I was better with time it would be a lot less stressful.
Starting tomorrow, I will set aside ten minutes a day to jot everything down in my planner, that way when I get home I will know how much time to set aside for each task. I am constantly busy with National Honor Society, being a peer tutor, and juggling four Advanced Placement classes. Having a planner would allow me to keep it all under control and be a better student and not so overwhelmed.
Along with having a planner, I am going to stick with one task at a time instead of doing little bits here and there. One day I will do all of my AP Psychology work, and the next do all my AP Statistics work. Checking things off of my list will make it seem a lot more manageable.
I am going to try very hard to keep this resolution going. Having this habit down when I enter college in the fall will make the classes, job, and just the transition from highschool to college a little less hectic. I know with the combination of a planner and taking my work one thing at a time will allow me to be the best student that I can be.
