My Education by Jodie - November 2015 Scholarship Essay
Hallways filled with students, some more thrilled to be there, others not so much. Amongst the rush and flow of the painted brick hallway, I stop and think to myself, "What am I grateful for?", in the back of my mind it's my education. What about my education, why is it unique to me? It is because of my view on it. My education is my gateway. My education is the small life lessons that tack themselves on to my classes that I take. It's not when I learn it's what I learn. I am grateful for my education. How it pushes me, challenges me, my beliefs, and helps me formulate my own take on the world.
I also have immense gratitude for my teachers, the way they make things simple, yet challenging. They guide, and provide a paradigm that is different to whom ever you speak with. Teachers make learning interesting when they have that spark, that passion, that helps drive home the point they want to make.
In conclusion the aspect of my education that I'm grateful for is, the small life lessons that weasel their way into the lessons, as well as the teachers, who take the crap that some students often give, and still have the passion to try over and over. That is what I'm grateful for.
