My Exciting Future by Jocelyn - December 2015 Scholarship Essay

My exciting future begins with me earning a bachelor's degree. I plan to use this scholarship to transfer to Kent State for Interior Design. I am going to use my education and start my own design firm. I will minor in historical preservation so I can renovate older homes that need a renewed vision.
After graduating I want to get married and start a family. Family is really important to me and I am excited to start my own. I also want to adopt. Adoption is something that I have always felt was right for me.
Thoughout this time I would love to see myself study abroad in Florence, Italy during my junior year of college. I have researched it and people say it was a life changing and inspirational experience. I want to be traveling around the world. It would be amazing to live in different parts of the country working on different historical properties.
In ten years I want to be brave and confident in my abilities and what I have to offer the world. I want to be selfless and helping my loved ones achieve their dreams. I want to see totaled in ten years making a positive difference in the world. I know I can, now I just need to get my degree and focus on my goals. I was made with the desire to thrive and succeed like everyone else and I am willing to put in the work to achieve my goals. I can not wait to see and experience my future, I know it will be bright.
