Education is something that many people take for granted. Not every country has the same opportunities that we do, and it is these chances for learning that make up the base of our workforce and intelligent society. Going to school is something that, to some students, seems mundane and unnecessary. However, it is vital to success as intellectuals and even everyday citizens.
Along with an education comes respect from others as well as opportunities to pursue a higher education or career. Being educated allows you to succinctly yet completely express your thoughts, explore possibilities and questions that are experienced, and grow in knowledge and understanding. The purpose of an education is to give students an opportunity to better understand the world around them, communicate intelligently, and to dictate the way society is run. People who are more educated tend to have more opportunities in the workforce or social ladder, and even have the power to change society itself. It is human nature to question the world around us, and with an educated mind it becomes much easier to pursue this curiosity and unearth the answers to the things that puzzle us most.
Not all uneducated members of society are of the lower class, but it can be said that a more educated person has more potential to pursue and succeed in a long term career that will pay off both fiscally and socially. Education is something that gives immediate gratification, and all must strive to see its importance in a developing mind, a developing society, and future successes.
