In order for one to achieve success in any field, one must have the skills of a leader. Which are achieved through experience, confidence, good communication. These qualities will help guarantee the respect of others, and allows for smooth achievement of goals.

Without experience, leading would be a quite challenging task . One must first be a follower, get involved in various activities, dive into as many opportunities as possible in order to acquire the skills that are essential to lead. College years are when students should take the most advantage of these opportunities, and gain experience. Such as with internships and student organizations.

Those in position of power have acquired the skill of confidence in what it is they want to achieve. They are optimistic about their goals, and do not let negativity ruin their progression. They are confident in their vision, and others that see this will also believe in them, which allows leaders to gain support. This skill is essential when it comes to group projects and presentations.

Good communication is also an important aspect when it comes to leadership. Getting the point across is key, especially when leading. Followers must understand the task at hand in order to receive the best outcome. It all goes back to the leader, so if the followers do an excellent job, it is accredited to the leader. In this is important when students take a leading role in a club such as becoming the president.

The skills previously mentioned are not only key components to success but also good qualities during college, as it prepares you for the working field.
