Helpful New Year's Resolution by Jennifer - January 2016 Scholarship Essay
Out of the hundreds of resolutions swarming around the nation, the most helpful would be staying organized. For starters, having a cluttered desk is a hassle. Many papers may become misplaced, or mistakenly disposed of. I Have a binder or filer that I use to eliminate the clutter and keep important documents, scholarship forms, and homework neat and organized. Secondly, organizing correlates with prioritizing. I arrange documents by upcoming due dates and ease away the procrastination. The papers can be easily recalled and submitted on time. Another element to keeping organized is having supplies readily available. I test out markers, pens, highlighters, or anything that could potentially dry out. I try to keep pencils sharpened or stocked with lead, to avoid disturbances. during class . I keep all of my materials in one designated pouch in my back pack, and can access the tools with ease. I have had this resolution for a year or two now. It has helped me immensely. My resolution is to continue the old one. Stay organized so school is not a struggle.
Keeping organized helps me with agendas. Keeping track of time is a great example. I try to write down dates and times, so I know when I need to go to work,an appointment, or spend time with my family. Also, I write down assignments in a place I will remember them. I look at my list and do my work as soon as I have the time. I do not procrastinate this way. Having my thoughts, and tasks written down is the best way for me to organize my future.
