A Piece of Advice From the Wise by jennifer - April 2016 Scholarship Essay

Hello there, my name is Jennifer and I am here to give you a piece of advice. I am a high school graduate, and I currently got accepted to Reedley College. I remember going through high school I had some trouble keeping up with everything. There were so many things to worry about like grades, friends, and classes. Well, I have some advice for you, keep your priorities straight, keep that vision that you have of you succeeding right in front of you. How have you been keeping your priorities?
Ever since middle school I realized how important it is to get good grades. There were some events you weren't allowed to if you had bad grades or some classes you couldn't pass the first time because your grades were to low. I would like to suggest for you to keep your grades good, do what you have to do to keep up with your grades. You can do extra credit work, or have a study group, but grades are really important for when you want to graduate high school.
When you are in your freshman year in high school, make sure you do your best to pass the necessary classes you need to graduate. Make yourself a plan on what you need to pass and when you need to pass your classes. Make sure you pass them with good grades and make sure you have payed enough attention in every class you have taken because you will need all those things you learned to succeed in college.
Once you are in your senior year or even junior, you should start practicing for the SAT test and start thinking about which college you would like to attend and what subject you would like to study. Once you have made your decision about those choices and once you are ready for your SAT, you should take the SAT and apply to the colleges of your choice. It is important to do all of the applying ahead of time to make sure you get all the classes that you need for your degree. You should also take your time with writing all the essays that you are going to need, whether it be for scholarships or college admission.
I have given you a lot of advice in these few paragraphs, I hope it could be of good use for you. Always remember to keep that vision of what you would like as your future in your head. Make a mental goal of what you want out of life, of what you want out of college, and keep that in your mind.
