Dear Future High School Students by Jennifer - April 2016 Scholarship Essay
Dear Future High School Students,
When I think about school, the first thing that comes to mind is schoolwork. Make sure that you turn all of your stuff in on time, try your hardest, and do not slack off. Also, it does not matter what grade you are in, start looking into colleges and thinking about what you want to do with the rest of your life. It is never too early to start to think about your future. With all the time you spend on your schoolwork, do not forget to spend time on yourself either.
You may be excited to hurry up and finish your high school career but don't worry about that, take your time and enjoy the ride. High school produces some of the best memories; from high school dances, sporting events, making lifelong friends, being part of a team, to maybe a relationship. If I would have know better, I would have not only focused on my school work but also on my social life. Join as many clubs as you can. They offer so many to students and they provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Do not be afraid to go out of your comfort zone but do not change who you are just to fit in.
Enjoy your time in high school, it goes by quicker than you think.
