The Life as a Highschool Student
Hi, my name is Jenna, and I am a high school senior. I’ve been to several schools, but the central portion of my high school career has been spent at my current school. The school I now attend has given our students many opportunities to thrive and accomplish things that kids never thought they could achieve. I feel like I have made an impact on our student body.
I was our class secretary my junior year, this year I am the vice president, I am currently the treasurer for Beta club, and I am also a member of our cheerleading squad. I am not here to talk about certain leadership roles that I have attained, but I can say that being heavily involved in different clubs and organizations has overall improved my social skills and has helped me to become more vocal with our student body. As a vice president, I try to make people’s voices heard. It is crucial for me to listen to the feedback of my peers to understand how they feel about the things that are happening around them.
I feel as if I have heavily influenced our student body by participating in everything that I can and being kind as well as guiding people in the right direction. I am in no way perfect, but I strive to be, and I want our student body to know that they can do anything they set their minds to. It is exciting to have the opportunity to participate in clubs, but I have also tried to show my fellow students that thriving academically is just as rewarding as excelling in a club or sport.
Overall, I would like to say that I am a motivator and role model. It essential to be kind and always follow directions. I feel like as a senior, underclassmen look up to me, and I have an incredibly huge role to play. Although high school is not easy, I want people to enjoy it and thrive in the school environment. Everyone has an opportunity to excel in high school; they just need guidance and a good role model.
